Job Description

Low VA Rates is looking for a mortgage doc drawer to assist in our correspondent department. This position requires attention to detail, as well as a willingness to work under the pressure of deadlines. Our ideal candidate would be excellent at multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks. We value a team environment, and are looking for a candidate with exceptional willingness to learn and help out where needed.

Responsibilities

Some of the responsibilities for the Mortgage Doc Drawer/Closer will include:

  • Work as a team to manage a pipeline of loans in various stages of the closing process
  • Perform pre-closing review of documentation provided by the loan team to ensure accuracy
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of required docs, such as homeowner’s insurance policy and title binder
  • Verify the loan file against Encompass, our loan operating system, to ensure all loan terms and conditions match approval
  • Review and verify all fees and charges associated with the loan on the HUD-1 or Closing Disclosure
  • Ensure loan docs are prepared within investor and CFPB compliance standards
  • Input and compile loan closing and sent to closing agent for signing within the company prescribed turn times
  • Work directly with underwriting and processing department in a professional manner

Qualifications

  • 1 year minimum experience as a closer or funder
  • Prefer experience with Encompass, but not required
  • Prefer experience with VA loans, but not required
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite (including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Experience with RESPA, REGZ or TRID compliance guidelines
  • General knowledge of mortgage documentation and procedures
  • Comfortable working in a high-production environment
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
  • Must be positive, upbeat, detail oriented and self-motivated
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Low VA Rates is looking for a Content Writer to provide daily blogs and articles for various company websites. The Content Writer will be a part of the growing Digital Marketing Department.

Responsibilities

Some of the responsibilities for the Content Writer will include:

  • Ability to generate interesting, compelling content daily
  • Excellent understanding of spelling, grammar, and syntax
  • Ability to responsibly meet deadlines and manage time efficiently

We’re looking for a highly motivated, self-starter with big financial goals to join our team. We specialize in VA loans and work exclusively with Veterans. This position has the potential for serious financial gain because of our commission pay scale.

Responsibilities

Some of the responsibilities for the Mortgage Loan Officer will include:

  • Managing a pipeline of borrowers.
  • Learning/mastering company systems (Encompass and Velocify).
  • Learning and selling company products (30 year fixed and hybrid loans).
  • Answering questions and quoting rates to potential borrowers.
  • Learning various phone sales pitches.

Some of the responsibilities for the Mortgage Funder will include:

  • Review closing packages for signature consistencies and compliance with state and federal regulatory guidelines
  • Work as a team to manage a pipeline of loans in various stages of the funding process. Verify the loan file against Encompass, our loan operating system, to ensure all loan terms and conditions match approval
  • Review and verify all fees and charges associated with the loan on the HUD-1 or Closing Disclosure
  • Executes loan documents on behalf of the company
  • Reconcile and balance the HUD-1 or CD, and request funds from the warehouse bank
  • Provide funding authorization to the closing agent
  • Work directly with underwriting and processing departments, in conjunction with the loan originator to obtain documentation for prior to funding conditions

 

Qualifications

  • 1 year minimum experience as a closer or funder
  • Prefer experience with Encompass, but not required

Low VA Rates is looking for a hard working individual that is self motivated and has excellent customer service skills. This position is great experience in the mortgage industry.
