Can I Use a Power of Attorney or POA on a VA Loan?
VA loans can be closed using a power or attorney (POA). Due to the nature of military home buyers and owners, VA lenders realize that on occassion it may be necessary for someone other than the eligible veteran or military person to execute the loan closing documents.
If you are going to need to use a power of attorney for your loan closing, please make sure your lender is aware of this up front. Just because the Dept of VA allows for a POA closing, each lender has its own rules and regulations. Approved VA lenders at LowVARates will allow for the use of a power of attorney, however in some cases the POA needs to be a specific POA to the transaction. One of our approved VA loan officers can assist you.
