Sara Fa'asuamanu

I grew up in the Sacramento area of northern California with three hilarious brothers. After high school my family moved to Hawaii and I subsequently attended Brigham Young University - Hawaii, graduating in 2002 with a bachelor's degree in International Cultural Studies/Anthropology. After college I worked for several years in the insurance industry before switching to mortgages, and eventually moving to Utah to join the LowVARates team in serving our military families throughout the country. I have been working at LowVARates as a processor specializing in VA loans since January 2007, and have personally processed thousands of VA loans.

In August 2010 I married my best friend, a former Marine and Iraq war veteran who I am proud to know and love. I have always enjoyed helping people, and knowing I am part of a team that assists veterans and active duty service members to purchase or refinance their homes makes what I do even more satisfying!

When I am not working, you will usually find me rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers with my husband (while secretly cheering on the 49ers!), and watching the San Francisco Giants win the World Series! I also enjoy reading, doing home-improvement projects and trying to learn to speak Samoan while my husband laughs at me.
