I grew up at the beach in Southern California- Seal Beach is the name of the town.  It is the real "O.C."  It is a great little beach town between Long Beach and Huntington Beach.  My childhood was so much fun, with 8 siblings there was also something to do and always somebody to do it with.  After high school I served a two year mission and then attended Brigham Young University in Provo Utah, graduating with honors in 2001 with a bachelor's degree in Science.  My college education was so valuable to me.  It taught me organization, how to manage time and to seize the opportunities that life offers. One of those was in my last semester of college I was clever enough to sit behind the most beautiful girl I had ever seen in one of my classes and after dating for a time, we married in 2003.  I love to travel and have had the good fortune to visit 23 countries around the world.  Highlights include two trips to Europe, 6 times to different destinations in Mexico and the Caribbean and a couple times to Canada.

I got my start in the mortgage industry in 2003 and a couple years later, started my own mortgage company.  It was a great experience and taught me so much about running a business and how much effort it takes to be successful, in business and in life.  I did that for a couple years and then as the mortgage industry was changing, dramatically at the time, I was recruited by LowVARates to come back to my roots in specializing in VA loans.  I have personally closed nearly 600 loans since 2003.

My wife Jennifer and I are blessed to have two children, Megan-4 and Dane not quite 2.  They are more precious than anything to us and make our house a home- I can't get enough of them!  When I am not working, you may find me snow skiing, going to the race track to drive cars I can't afford, visiting "home" to see parents and going to the beach.   I love to eat!  Food is so remarkable because it transports you to a different place so quickly, without the hassle of the plane ride.  Indian, Thai, Japanese, Mid-Eastern you name it they are all fantastic.  I also enjoy being active, playing soccer, volleyball, racquetball, and strength training.  I am currently training for a triathlon.

I have always enjoyed talking with people, and knowing I can be a force for good in assisting veterans and active duty service members to purchase or refinance their homes makes what I do very gratifying.  I am proud to be an American, and my gratitude for the service and sacrifice rendered to me and my family by our armed forces can't be adequately expressed in words.  I have been to the shores of Normandy, seen where the events of D-Day took place and am overwhelmed at the ultimate sacrifice so many have made for freedom.  Today, we still have heroes, who fight for freedom across the world in our armed forces- we pray for them daily.  It is truly my privilege to help and assist military families in obtaining financing for their own piece of the American Dream- home ownership.
